TERMS, CONDITIONS, RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PASSENGERS ABOARD THE BEDY OCEANLINE

 

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:

 

These Terms and Conditions and no others regulate the Company’s obligations in respect of the carriage of passengers, luggage and goods. No person other than the Company’s Chief Executive Officer has authority to vary these Terms and Conditions. No such variation shall have effect unless it is in writing and signed by the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. The Passenger, by purchasing the Passenger ticket, ipso facto accepts unconditionally The Carriers Terms and Conditions and the fact that the carriage of Passengers is ruled exclusively by these Terms and Conditions as detailed hereafter.

 

Passengers shall comply at all times with the safety and other rules and regulations of the Carrier from time to time notified in tickets, brochures, notices at terminals or on board the vessel, by electronic or other media, or by servants or agents of the Carrier. ”Carrier” means BEDY Oceanline ferries.

 

For the avoidance of doubt, where in these Terms and Conditions the Carrier is entitled to make a decision or exercise a discretion on any matter relating to the operation of a vessel, it shall be presumed, unless the context otherwise demands or there is evidence of an instruction from the to the Authority of the island to the contrary, that the Master has full authority to act as the Carrier’s agent in these matters.

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILTY:

 

BEDY Travel responsibility extends only from the embarkation to disembarkation of passengers. BEDY Travel reserves the rights to change the Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.

 

THE VESSELS:

 

The vessels used are Passenger ferries carrying Passengers and baggage. The published schedules and timetables can vary for reasons of weather, force majeure, cargo requirements, port operations, port traffic or technical reasons. Such variations can occur without previous notice given to Passengers. Any delay caused, for whatsoever reason, does not represent motivation for cancellation of booking, nor does it allow any refund or compensation to Passengers.

 

1. In these Terms and Conditions unless inconsistent with the context the following expressions have the meanings assigned to them:

 

DEFINITIONS:

 

1.1 “Passengers” means every person travelling on a vessel operated by, or chartered to the Carrier who has paid for and/or has in their possession a VALID ticket issued by BEDY Travel and/or its representative.

1.2 “Luggage” means any articles or packages carried under these Terms and Conditions and accompanying Passengers including articles worn or carried on the person.

1.3 “ Property” means luggage ,money, valuables and any other property whatsoever of the Passenger

1.4 “Owner” means the person who has an absolute right of ownership, in whole or part, in goods and luggage.

1.5 “The Vessel” means the vessel used the purposes of carriage of Passengers, goods, and luggage

1.6 “Passenger fares and schedules” means currently published brochure and information 

1.7 “One-Way” means any trip that has completed one leg of travel in any direction and terminates in a port that is not the port of origin.

1.8 “Adult:means any person who has reached their 13th birthday will be considered an adult

1.9 “Infant” means any person 2 years of age or less

1.10 “Child” means any person between the ages 2 + years to 12 years of age

1.11 “Senior Citizens” means any person who has attained the age of 65

1.12 “Currency” means rate quoted in US dollars

1.13 “Schedules” means timetables indicating arrival and departure times of vessels.

1.14 “The Company” means BEDY Travel, its representatives or agents. “Company” shall be interchangeable with “Carrier” which means the same.

 

2. BOARDING PASS VALIDITY AND TIME LIMITS:

 

2.1 The Company reserves the right to establish advance booking purchase time limits. The Company reserves

      the right to automatically cancel any reservation that has not met the advance booking purchase time limit.

 

2.2   The issuance of a boarding pass and receipt by The Company of the applicable fare will be a confirmation of the passenger's reservation.

 

2.3  The Company reserves the right to collect a surcharge on the fare paid if an increase has occurred prior to the commencement of travel.

 

2.4  There is no guaranteed fare if ticketed in advance. Boarding passes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Boarding passes are valid only for the date and time shown on the document

 

2.5  The Company reserves the right to refuse to accept any boarding pass that has been mutilated, lost or stolen. A ticket and/or boarding pass is considered valid only after it has been properly endorsed by The Company.

 

2.6   The Company shall not be liable in the event of a ticket, boarding pass loss, destruction, or theft, or if the 

      ticket is honored for transportation or refund when presented by any other person.

 

2.7 The Company reserves the right to request of passengers to present valid identification documents before

     traveling and will not be liable if a passenger-other than the person entitled to travel under a ticket- who

     has presented to The Company valid identification documents -corresponding to the passenger named on

     the ticket- has traveled and/or has been reimbursed

 

2.8 Tickets are valid for 60 days from the date of issue except for tickets that have restricted validity. A ticket

       is NOT TRANSFERABLE. The person allowed to travel is the person named on the ticket (passage contract).

 

2.9 The Company will hold a credit for future travel for the amount of the unused reservation in the event of  

    ferry cancellation.. The passenger will contact the Reservations Department and identify themselves, 

    produce identification, produce the ticket including the Booking Number of the unused trip to use the credit 

    being held in the reservations system.


3. CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS:


3.1  If traveling round trip we advise you to have your itinerary at check-in. Proof of return or onward travel is

      required to check-in.  Each passenger must carry proper identification valid passport, visa or other travel

      documents for security purposes. Failure to provide proof of return could result in denied boarding.

 

3.2  All passengers are required to present their boarding card and a valid passport or ID to the vessel authorized personnel. Infants and children also require an official form of identification. The  carrier reserves the right to deny embarkation to any individual who does not possess a valid boarding card and valid travel documents or fails to prove beyond doubt, his/her identity.

 

3.3 The person allowed to travel will be the person named on the ticket. The name must correspond with 

      the valid identification document presented.

 

3.4 The Company cannot be held responsible in the event that authorities prevents a passenger from continuing his/her journey.  Passengers shall indemnify the Carrier and Company against all loss and expense incurred in connection with or as result of such refusal of permission to disembark at a port or continue a journey. In the event of immigration officials refusing entry, the passenger will be sent back to the country where they boarded the vessel. We recommend that citizens of all states contact the appropriate Consulate for details before booking their travel arrangements.

 

3.5   In the event of a fine being imposed on The Company by the immigration office, the amount WILL BE 

      CHARGED to the passenger who failed to provide the proper legal documents.

 

3.6 The Company shall have a general lien on all property whatsoever accompanying Passengers and the right to sell the same by public auction or otherwise for all liabilities of Passengers under these Terms and Conditions or otherwise and for the costs and expenses of enforcing such a lien and of such sale.

 

3.7 The Company reserves the right to refuse any passenger holding a valid ticket or boarding pass that has not checked in at the departure terminal a minimum of 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure.


3.8 Reservations for walk-on passengers not checked-in 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure will be canceled, with forfeiture of entire fare. Luggage must be loaded and passengers on board no later than 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure.


3.9 The Company may elect to establish a business class or frequent traveler service/reservation with special check-in considerations

 

3.10  All passengers and all items brought on board the vessel are subject to security search prior to boarding and boarding our vessel and/or anytime while onboard our vessel. Passengers or persons who refuse to submit to a search will be denied boarding and will be reported to the appropriate port authorities.

 

ONCE YOU HAVE BOARDED THE VESSEL YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISEMBARK PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. IF YOU DO SO, YOU SHOULD TAKE ALL YOUR LUGGAGE. 

 

4. ACCEPTANCE/NON-ACCEPTANCE OF PERSONS AND GOODS:


4.1 The Company reserves the right to refuse passage to any person or luggage. Persons who do not comply with security inspections during check-in will be denied passage and may be escorted from the terminal by security personnel.

 

4.2 BEDY Oceanline seeks to establish a transportation experience that is safe for all of our customers and

    employees. The Company reserves the right to refuse any person access on any service for any reason

    including any person who is unruly in behavior, who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or

    whose conduct is unsafe, unlawful or considered to be objectionable, or who is deemed unfit to travel and is

    likely to cause distress or discomfort to other passengers or has previously engaged in any unlawful activities

    affecting The Company.    Any such person may be required to leave the vessel.

 

4.3    The Company reserves the right to refuse passage to any person who attempts to gain passage fraudulently, refuses to pay the prescribed fare or fails to produce proof of payment of fare upon request may be refused passage.

 

4.4    Persons who refuse to provide information or documentation as required; who refuse to

follow directions of any employee, sign or device in any terminal or on board any vessel; who interfere with or molest other passengers; who interfere with the operation of a terminal or vessel; or who interfere with any employee of the Carrier, may be refused passage, ordered off the vessel and evicted from the terminal.

 

4.5 The Company has the right to refuse access on any of its’ carriers to any passenger carrying any noxious plant or animal pest. The Company has the right to inspect the contents of any passenger’s luggage or freight for any noxious plant or animal pest on any service whose destination is part of the route and report such to the Ministry of Agriculture, Pest Division.

 

4.6 If a Passenger is not allowed to embark for whatsoever reason, the Company may cancel any contract with such Passengers at any time before sailing. The Carrier shall in that case return the passage money, if any, paid in respect of such Passengers and such Passengers shall have no claim whatsoever against the Carrier in respect of such refusal or cancellation.

 

4.7 Unaccompanied Minor: The Company reserves the right not to accept any child or youth under the age of 17 years, unless accompanied by an adult passenger.

 

4.8 Pets: SORRY, NO PETS .

4.9 Wheelchair/Disabled Passengers/: Before considering any journey, passengers with disabilities have to be confident that they will be able to complete their trip. These ferries use traditional piers rather than vehicle ramps.  As such they are not generally suitable for independent wheelchair users or passengers with serious mobility problems

4.10  We realize that not all impairments are visible. We rely heavily on the ship's public address (PA) system to communicate important safety information. At the start of your trip, a pre-recorded message is broadcast. If you feel you would be unable to hear these or other announcements clearly, a crewmember will be happy to assist you. Please make yourself known to a member of the ship’s crew on arrival so that they can assist you in the event of an emergency.  

4.11 The Company will be happy to assist anyone who needs extra help.  Please contact our ticket office before departure.

4.12 Firearms and Other Dangerous Goods: The Company will not accept for carriage firearms, ammunition, explosives, disabling devices such as mace, pepper spray etc containing an irritant or incapacitating substance, toxic and infectious substances, sharp or other dangerous objects which could be used as weapons, corrosive, magnetized or radioactive materials, flammable liquids and compressed gases and or any other form of goods considered dangerous.  Articles defined as "prohibited" under the Criminal Code of the respective islands are not returned. They are reported to the Manager of Security and handed over to the police

4.13 In order to protect the health, safety, security and comfort of its passengers, The Company reserves the right to refuse transportation to any person, article or goods or to remove same from any vessel, or from any terminal or other property occupied by The Company.

4.14 No weapon* of any type may be carried onto or into any BEDY Oceanline vessel, pier, or terminal, except upon satisfaction of all of the following conditions:

  • The person carrying the weapon has all necessary permits and licenses;
  • The weapon is packed or contained in a carrying case or sheath and the weapon is kept out of sight;
  • The weapon is never handled or displayed while on the vessel, pier, and/or at the terminal;
  • The person carrying the weapon never leaves it unattended while on the vessel, pier, and/or at the terminal;
  • Firearms are unloaded and ammunition is packed separately.

*The term "weapon" shall be interpreted broadly to include any firearms, bow and arrow, knives (excluding a small jackknife for personal use) or other instrument of attack/defense or for hunting purposes.

5.  OPERATION OF THE VESSEL:

.1 The Company reserves the right to change or alter the schedule to meet traffic demands. The Company will not accept any liability arising from an alteration in the published schedule or route.

 

5.2 The Company shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience suffered by any passenger resulting from late, delayed or cancelled sailings, arrivals or departures regardless of the cause or from any change or deviation in any schedule of sailing times from those published by The Company.

 

5.3 If war, hostilities, blockade, labour conflicts, breakdown of the Vessel, congestion, docking difficulties, or any other cause whatsoever, hinders or prevents the performance of the proposed voyage or if the Carrier is of the opinion that any one or more of these is likely to hinder or prevent the performance of the proposed voyage, or pose a security threat to the safety of the passengers, crew, or vessel The Company in its sole and absolute discretion may cancel any scheduled operation without liability

 

5.4 The Company does not guarantee that the service shall start or arrive at the time stated in the schedule and will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by the passenger as a result of any delay.

 

5.5 The Company reserves the right tostop at intermediate ports and/or ports beyond destination or to divert to alternate ports for safety and/or rescue purposes or such other purpose as may reasonably be determined by The Company.

 

 5.6  If the Carrier considers that for any reason whatsoever, proceeding to, attempting to enter, or entering or remaining at the port of disembarkation may expose the crew, passengers and  vessel, to risk of loss or damage or be likely to delay the vessel, the Carrier or Master may in its or his discretion land Passengers and their property at the port of embarkation or at any port or place which it or he may reasonably decide, and in that event the responsibility of the Carrier shall cease and any carriage shall be deemed to have been fully performed.

 

5.7 The Carrier shall be free to comply with any orders, recommendations or directions

whatsoever given by the Government of the islands to be traveled to or by any Department

thereof or by any person acting or purporting to act with authority of such Government or Department to give such orders, recommendations or directions, and if by reason of, and in compliance with, any such orders, recommendations or directions, anything is done or is not done, that shall not be deemed a deviation or a breach of the contract of carriage. Disembarkation of Passengers or discharge of their luggage in accordance with such orders, recommendations or directions shall constitute due and proper fulfillment of the obligations of the Carrier.

 

5.8 The liability of The Company if any will cease when passengers are landed at any port. The Company reserves the right to substitute a vessel or cancel any operation entirely if it becomes necessary for any reason.

 

5.9 Passengers maybe subject to ticket audits at anytime, and all tickets and passes for travel remain the property of BEDY OCEANLINE.

 

5.10 The Company may sell services of other operators who are not connected with BEDY Travel and whose operations are outside the control of The Company. The Company accept no responsibility or liability for the service provided by those operators except as required by law.


6.  CANCELLATION AND DELAY POLICIES:


6.1
If the ferry is cancelled or delayed and a passenger chooses alternate transportation to or off the island the Company will not be responsible for additional expenses incurred such as travel, transportation, hotel, food or any other additional expenses.

 

6.2 If the passenger chooses alternate transportation due to a delay or cancellation by the Company he or she has the option to exchange it for a different trip. The unused ticket must be presented when requesting the change.

 

6.3 The Company reserves the right to change its schedule, fares or route at any time and does not accept any liability arising from an alteration in the published schedule, fares or route or pay for any additional costs which may be incurred by its passengers.


6.4 PASSENGER TICKET CANCELLATION:

 

6.5 ALL TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. .  Ticket is non-refundable in case of cancel/no-show/refund. Waived only for schedule change/death of passenger or companion traveling together. 

 

6.6 If a ticketed passenger fails to make his/her scheduled departure time, the tickets will be valid for 60 days except for tickets with restricted validity, special promotions or discounted fares.  If the ticketed trip is not cancelled prior to ticketed departure time ticket has no value and  all money associated with this fare is forfeited.

 

6.7 Passengers who need to make changes to their reservations must do so within 24 hours prior to departure. There will be a US $25.00 charge for changes to reservation.

 

6.8 All tickets purchased are valid for any scheduled ferry departure on a STAND-BY basis.

 

6.9 The Company is entitled to retain the total value of the ticket if the passenger interrupts his voyage at an in-between port, unless the interruption is due to illness, accident or force majeure.

 

6.10.  In exceptional cases as stated in 6.9, partially used tickets may be rescheduled for up to 60 days from the first date of travel and the value of the unused ticket  to be used towards a new ticket provided the ticketed flight is cancelled prior to the ticketed departure time


6.11 COMPANY FERRY CANCELLATION: The Company at its sole and absolute discretion reserves the right to cancel any scheduled trip and/or substitute a vessel without liability if it becomes necessary for any reason.

 

6.12 The Company cannot be held liable for the delays due to any unforeseen circumstances such as weather, tides, sea conditions or mechanical conditions.

 

6.13 The Company does not guarantee that the service shall depart or arrive at the time stated in the schedule and will not be liable for any additional travel costs incurred by the passenger as a result of any cancellation.

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL FARES, VESSEL, PORT AND SAILING TIMES QUOTED MAYBE SUBJECTTO ALTERATION/CANCELLATION WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.

 

7. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE:


7.1 Each adult and child passenger will be allowed one carry on an item such as a briefcase, laptop or personal bag and two pieces of what constitutes as normal passenger luggage i.e. suitcases, rucksacks, trunks etc. with them; maximum weight of 60lbs per piece free of charge. The passenger may substitute fishing or golfing equipment for one piece of luggage.

7.2 Any item which cannot be reasonably and safely carried in hand or in one of the allowed personal carriers by a passenger must be shipped as freight. The captain may refuse transportation of any baggage consisting of articles which may jeopardize the safe operation of the vessel or safety of passengers.

7.3 The Company accepts no responsibility for a passenger’s personal luggage which is under their care and control, and for which no fee has been charged.  The Company is not liable for loss or damage howsoever, whensoever or wheresoever arising from any of the causes theft, robbery, or pilferage of whatever kind, whether on land or afloat, wheresoever occurring, whether suspected or proved, and whether by passengers, persons in the employment of the Carrier on board or ashore, or of any other person whatsoever.

 

 7.4 Once on board, personal carriers must not obstruct passageways or interfere with passenger space, deckhand work areas, or safety equipment. It should not be placed near the paid freight, as it could be mistakenly put off at an island.

 

8.  BAGGAGE ACCEPTANCE:


8.1 The Company is under no obligation to accept for carriage any luggage or accept any article or goods which do not meet its requirements with respect to identification or condition.

 

8.2  Paint, batteries and other dangerous substances must be declared and stowed safely under the direction of the vessel crew. If in doubt declare the item to the Master of the vessel or the Representative of The Company. However, the Company can refuse to carry any article that the Company, in its sole judgment, considers harmful or dangerous to the vessel, passengers, crew, or other goods being transported

 

8.3 The Company has the right, but not the obligation, to verify in the presence of the passenger the contents of luggage.

 

8.4 The Company is not liable for loss or damage to passengers' baggage or property whatsoever. In the event of the owner or consignee not providing means to take delivery at the Vessel’s side, the Carrier reserves the right to detain any baggage or property on board, in store or otherwise or to land them at its discretion and that shall be entirely at the risk and expense of the Owner of such baggage or property.


8.5 No petrol or gas cylinders may be carried in personal luggage. Items with a fuel tank must be declared and the tank must be empty.

 

9. EXCESS BAGGAGE:

 

9.1 Extra pieces of baggage (that is pieces in excess of the above allowance) will be subject to excess baggage charges and will only be accepted on a space available basis.

 

9.2 We have found it necessary to limit the number of heavy baggage allowed on the ferries for safety considerations. All extra pieces of baggage must weigh 60 lbs.

 

9.3 0- 60 lbs – a charge of US $60.00 will be applied to all excess baggage

9.4 All excess bags will be tagged as STANDBY

9.5 Baggage taken on a standby basis will be accepted with the understanding that The Company is not liable for delays in the transportation of the baggage to its destination.

9.6 The Company will not accept responsibility for the customs clearance and/or the ground transportation cost incurred by passengers for the collection of stand by baggage.

10.  FREIGHT:


10.1 Items other than luggage such as Packages and Boxes will be subject to an additional charge depending on weight and size.

 

10.2 No person shall send or attempt to send any dangerous goods without distinctly marking their nature on the outside of the package containing the same, and giving written notice of the nature of those goods and of the name and address of the sender or Carrier thereof to the Master or Agent or Representative of the vessel at or before the time of sending the same to be shipped or taking the same on board the vessel.

 

10.3  Any person who fails to comply with the  above Act is liable to an unlimited fine. In addition any person who sends dangerous goods under a false description or with a false description of the sender or carrier thereof is liable to a fine.

 

10.4 The Carrier shall be entitled in its absolute discretion and at any time to refuse to receive or carry any goods.  All freight will be subject to an inspection prior to boarding. If the passenger or shipper refuses to submit to a search then the freight will be denied boarding.

 

11. PERSONAL BELONGINGS:

 

11.1 The Company will not be held responsible for the safe custody or delivery of, nor will it be accountable for any loss of bank notes or other forms of currency, bonds or other negotiable instruments, or other articles of value left unattended either before or at shipment or while on board the Vessel. Please report the loss of any items to the Representative on board or call the Customer Service direct.

 

11.2  Security policies have been established and unattended bags maybe confiscated as a security risk.

 

11.3  Any and all costs incurred by the Carrier in respect of any luggage  left unattended  in an unauthorized location or for non payment of fees or expenses shall be for the account of the passenger and the Carrier shall have a lien on such luggage for such amounts.

 

12. SECURITY INSPECTION:

12.1 All passengers, personal items, luggage and freight may be subject to search and inspection prior to boarding our vessel and/or anytime while on board our vessel.

12.2 Passengers or persons who refuse to submit to a search will be denied boarding.

12.3 Pack appropriately to avoid inconvenience and delays at security check points and during the passenger screening process, we recommend that you place items such as jewelry, keys, cell phones etc.  in your carry-on baggage and not on your person.

13. GROUP TRAVEL:


13.1 A group consists of 15 adult passengers or more. Children under the age of  2 are not included in the group count.. All passengers must travel on the same itinerary to receive the group fare.

 

13.2 For every 3 children between the ages 2 to 13 years, 1 adult must (18 years or older) must accompany them.

 

13.3 5% discount will be given to groups to all destinations.

 

13.4 A non-refundable deposit payment of 20% on bookings is required upon reservation. Payment of a deposit forms part of the final payment and means you have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Travel. Outstanding balance must be paid 30 days before departure.

 

13.5 Group rate tickets or boarding passes must be purchased and paid in full a minimum of 30 days prior to travel

 

13.6 Group tickets or boarding passes are valid only for departures issued and are nonrefundable if not used. Cancellations made 30 days prior to travel may be eligible for a 50% credit.

 

13.7 Payment can be made by credit card, bank draft, government invoice or cash. Only one form of payment per transaction will be accepted.

 

13.8 Reservations are booked in the name of the group. A group escort name and contact phone number is required.

 

13.9 A list of names of all group members is required 15 days prior to departure.

 

13.10 Check-in is required one hour before departure. Group escort must check-in on day of travel and distribute boarding passes to the individual group members.

 

13.11 Seating is provided on first-come, first-served basis for passengers holding tickets

 

13.12 All terms and conditions apply to group passengers as well.

14.  DISCOUNTS AND SPECIAL FARES:

14.1  5% discount will be given to groups on all Destinations.

14.2 Special or discounted fares are subject to conditions for travel established by The Company. Special or discounted fares will only be applicable on certain dates, departures and seat availability may be limited

14.3. Upon proof of age senior citizens will be eligible for a 5% discount.

15. CURRENCY/RATE:

 

15. 1 Currency:  All charges noted on The Company website and in The Company's brochures, on board the ferry, or in The Company's terminals will be, as indicated, in U.S. dollars (cash or credit card) unless otherwise noted.


15.2 The fares of tickets purchased in other countries or onboard may differ due to fluctuations in the exchange

 

15.3 Payments for tickets can be purchase in the currency of the respective countries.- TTD, BDD,ECD or USD

 

16. TIMETABLES AND FARES:

 

16.1 The Company is committed to making every effort to adhere strictly to its schedule.

 

16.2 The Company reserves the right to change or alter the schedule to meet traffic demands.

 

16.3 The Company cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by third parties, port authorities or extreme or unusual weather conditions.

 

16.4 Timetables and fares listed are based on conditions existing at the time of publication. If any condition should change after the time of publication The Company reserves the rights to make changes or to refrain from contractual obligations.

 

16.5 In the event of an increase in fuel prices, currency fluctuation or other unforeseen circumstances The Company reserves the rights to change the fares without prior notice.

 

16.6 Any such price revision shall take effect as a valid amendment to the Passage Contract and any such increase in price shall be payable by the passenger.

 

16.7 No price increase shall be imposed 15 days before scheduled date of departure.

 

17. CHILDREN AND UNACCOMPANIED MINORS:

 

17.1 Accompanied infants under 2 years without a seat – free.  Accompanied infants with a seat and children 2 + years pay the applicable  fare.

 

17.2 The Company reserves the right not to accept any child or youth under the age of 17 years, unless accompanied by an adult.

 

17.3  In the interests of safety, children under 13 years of age cannot travel alone  unless they are going to and from school or school-sponsored events. BEDY Oceanline cannot provide direct  supervision. For every 3 children between the ages 2 to 13 years, 1 adult must (18 years or older) must accompany them

 

17.4 Reservations for unaccompanied minors 13 years of age will only be accepted if written permission is received from parent or legal guardian and witnessed by a public officer.

 

17.5 Adults are responsible for the behavior of accompanying children in their care or under their supervision at all times.

 

 

18. PETS

 

18.1 No pets are allowed

 

 19. SMOKING/DRINKING:

 

19.1  BEDY Oceanline offers a smoke free environment and thus NO SMOKING  is permitted on any of The Company’s vessels, the Company’s licensed areas or areas under the control of the Company.

 

19.2 Passengers will NOT be allowed to consume alcohol OR alcoholic beverages on board the vessel. Those violating this condition will be asked to surrender their alcohol until the completion of their journey.

 

19.2 Passengers should note signage of NO SMOKING and NO DRINKING and comply as a condition of passage.

 

20. INCLUDED SERVICES:


20.1 Prices include transportation as specified in the itineraries and applicable taxes and fees.

 

20.2  Prices do not include (without limitation) insurance of all kinds; phone calls; beverages; meals not detailed in the itinerary; gratuities to taxi, courtesy van, or tour drivers; items of a personal nature; excess baggage; optional excursions; or any other service.

 

21. HEALTH AND VACCINATION

 

21.1 Passengers are presumed in sound health, both physically and mentally and suffering from no illness, complaint or infirmity, and are aware that the vessels does not carry a physician. However, there is a first aid station on board.

 

21.2 Passengers are presumed to be aware of the health requirements of the island to be traveled to and has received the necessary vaccination as required by the Health Authority of the  respective island.

 

21.3 Passengers shall indemnify the Carrier and each and all of its agents and representatives

against all liability whatsoever which the Carrier or such agents or representatives may incur towards any person or company or Government for any personal injury or death, loss or damage to property caused directly or indirectly in whole or in part by any wilful or negligent act or omission on the part of the Passenger.

 

21.4  Passengers shall be liable to and shall reimburse the Carrier for all damage to the Vessel

and its furnishings and equipment, or any property of the Carrier, caused directly or indirectly in whole or in part by any wilful or negligent act or omission on the part of any Passengers.

 

22. PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH OR LOSS OF PROPERTY:

 

22.1 Passengers must submit all claims in writing and forward a copy to the Company’s Head Office in Grenada within 10 days of disembarkation. Any claims received after this time will not be considered.

 

22.2 If there is an injury on board the vessel, a crewmember must be immediately notified and a written report of the injury must be done, upon which an investigation will be launched.

 

22.3 If there is a death, written notification of the incident outlining the details must be sent to The Company by their representative or the representative of the estate of a deceased passenger upon which an investigation will be launched.

 

23. LOST AND FOUND POLICY:

 

23.1 Staff at our terminals and vessels make every effort to safeguard found property to allow a reasonable time period for owners to contact the agents or representatives of the respective islands.

 

23.2 If you're looking for an item within 15 days of traveling with us (30 days for wallets and purses), queries should be directed to the terminal where it was lost, or the home terminal of the vessel on which it was lost. 

 

23.3 Wallets, purses and their contents are retained in a secure location for 30 days. Any monies not recovered within 30 days are donated to charitable organizations. Major credit cards not recovered by the owner will be returned to the Card issuer (example: VISA, American Express, etc). Any unclaimed personal information will be destroyed. Other found articles of value (examples: clothing, books, sunglasses, umbrellas, cameras, cell phones, portable electronics, etc) which are not claimed within 15 days are donated to charitable organizations. Items with No or Minimum Value are disposed of accordingly. Articles of minimal value are donated to charity (examples: clothing, books, eyeglasses).

 

23.4 Articles defined as "prohibited" under the Criminal Code of the respective islands are not returned. They are reported to the Manager of Security and handed over to the police.

 

24. PASSENGER CONSENT:

 

24.1 For good order and security, passengers agree to follow the directions of any employee of the Carrier in respect of use or operation of the terminal or vessel. When requested by any employee, passengers will provide proof of identification satisfactory to the Carrier and will answer any enquiry and produce any documents requested by the employee in respect to any luggage or its contents.

 

24.2  Persons who refuse to provide information or documentation as required; who refuse to

follow directions of any employee, sign or device in any terminal or on board any vessel; who interfere with or molest other passengers; who interfere with the operation of a terminal or vessel; or who interfere with any employee of the Carrier, may be refused passage, ordered off the vessel and evicted from the terminal.

 

24.3 Entering the passenger departure area of the terminal is deemed valid consent to screening or inspection: and failure to consent or submit to screening will result in denial or revocation of authorization to enter the vessel.

 
24.4 The passenger acknowledges that it has been provided by The Company with the opportunity to review The Company's Privacy Policy, by way of notice on the Company's website, and to consent or object to the use of the personal information in accordance with the said policy.

 

23. Copies of the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Travel are available from any BEDY Travel Office or from its’ Representative or Agent in the respective island.
